For decades, commercial real estate owners across the country have taken advantage of having an industry expert on their side when obtaining financing with a commercial real estate loan. This has not historically been the case in Kansas City, or other areas of the Midwest. At MidCap, we have a goal of changing that precedent in the hopes of tilting the advantage back to the commercial real estate owner when it comes to obtaining financing.
From our central location in Kansas City, MidCap has the ability as a commercial mortgage broker to assist not only Kansas City-based commercial real estate owners on their projects locally and across the nation, but also to assist owners from outside of the area with their Kansas City (or greater Midwest region) located projects with their financing needs. Commercial real estate financing types available include acquisition loans, refinances, permanent loans, construction loans, owner-occupied loans, bridge loans, mezzanine loans, credit tenant lease loans, and sale-leaseback loans. If it is equity for your commercial real estate project that is needed, rather than debt financing, MidCap also has the ability to source preferred equity financing as well as equity partners.
Many commercial mortgage brokers in Kansas City and elsewhere will not arrange loans smaller than $2,000,000 (some might go as low as $1,000,000). At MidCap we judge each commercial real estate financing transaction on its own merits before making a decision on representation. Notwithstanding a current average loan size of $5,000,000, as a full-service commercial mortgage broker we believe we can add as much relative value to a $250,000 commercial real estate loan transaction as to a $50,000,000 financing package.
